And Away I Go!

By the time this posts, I'll be in the sky.

Headed here!  To see my husband!  Dave works for an AIDS foundation and makes frequent trips to Africa.  He's in Mozambique right now but we're meeting up Saturday afternoon in Zambia.

While in Africa, I'll visit Addis Ababa first.  I'll be here for the day and am excited to sightsee.

Then I'm off to Zambia, where I'll be for the next 10 days.

In Zambia, I'll visit Lusaka first, where Dave will be working for the week.

While he's working, I have fun plans to do a couple of safaris.  The first will be at Chaminuka, a private game reserve about 45 minutes from Lusaka.

Then, the Kafue National Park.

Dave and I will meet back in Lusaka a few days later and then were headed to Livingstone and Victoria Falls, the Seventh Natural Wonder of the World!

While in Livingstone, we have an elephant-back safari planned.

And a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.

Also, a night lion walk in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park.

After enjoying Livingstone for a few days, the next stop is Harare, Zimbabwe.  I'm excited to meet some of Dave's colleagues, people I feel like I know since I've heard so many stories about them over the years.

After Harare, I'm headed home.  But first a one-day stop in Mainz, Germany.  Dave will stay in Harare for another week or so.

I'm so excited to explore this part of the world and can't wait for my adventure!
