Play Ball!

Spencer, Clancy, Dave and I joined many other Washington Nationals fans for the first Pups in the Park of 2012.  I'm excited to say Spencer and I have attended every (Daddy has missed a few due to Africa travel) Pups in the Park game since the Nats started the fun tradition in 2009.

2011 (Clancy's first time!)

This year there are four games - April 21, June 2, July 7 and September 22 - and we hope to make all of them.  The boys have the best time.  And don't tell, but it tires them out so much that I don't feel bad leaving them alone the next day to run errands.  All they want to do for two straight days is sleep!

As usual, it's a mad dash to the stadium.

So many four-legged fans!

Meeting new friends before the game starts.

Hadley joined us for her first baseball game along with Mother and Sister.  A funny story about her hat.  When I got it for her last year she was obsessed with the watermellon seeds that are painted on the underside of the brim (you can kind of see them).  She would focus her eyes upward and use all her concentration to look at the seeds.  Then she'd start to pick at them with her finger (we think she's a lefty, like moi) to try to get them off.  It was sooo funny.

The requisite sharing of Daddy's hot dog.

It wasn't long before Spencer and Clancy realized it was quite a coup to have Hadley accompany them.  Daddy was no longer their only source of snacks.

The family.  Why is it children never look at the camera?

I just bought tickets for the June game, so please keep your fingers crossed that the weather is nice.

  1. I hope the weather is great! Too long of a trek from our casa but such a great thing I am happy they are continuing to do!

  2. How fun! I wish Cole Lee was friendly and could attend a ballgame. (He doesn't play well with those bigger than him) Thanks for sharing the fun pics!
