Today is Clancy's fourth birthday but his first as a D. You see, pet birthdays are a big deal in the D household. They boys get dressed up, have cake and open presents. Yes, it's silly but we love it. And while the boys may not like the dress up part they definitely are on board with the cake and gifts.
While we've had Clancy only since June, it feels like he's been with us forever. Clancy started off as my foster (through Cavalier Rescue) but after just one week, we knew we wanted to keep him. The saying in the Cavalier Rescue world is that I'm a failed foster parent. :-)
This is Clancy and his brother, Rusty, shortly after I picked them up for their new lives as fosters and then forever friends. I'm not sure where Rusty lives now but I certainly hope his family got him a Lookout seat for the car.

While Spencer is a mama's boy, Clancy is defintiely Daddy's BFF. They love each other to pieces.
For Halloween, Clancy was a bear. Which was perfect since I call him my little bear cub. He sat on the chair by our front door and greeted all the trick or treaters.
Clancy made the perfect addition to round out our happy little family.
Happy 4th Birthday, Clancy! He is such a cutie and definitely looks like a little bear cub. His Halloween costume was perfect.
