Pretty Wreaths

Mother was of the opinion that wreaths were only for Christmas.  Thus I grew up with a pretty, yet plain, front door (well doors- our house had double entry doors).  I think that's why I ooh and aah whenever I see pretty wreaths hanging on a front door.  While walking down Maryland Avenue and Prince George Street in Annapolis last month, I snapped pictures of a few of the wreaths that struck my fancy.

  1. Ahhh....what beautiful wreaths! I think that we only had wreaths at Christmas too. I do remember some sort of indian corn arrangement on each of our double doors during the fall or something? Anyway, I put a wreath up whenever I find one that strikes me as pretty. Spring and summer are my favorite wreaths these days. So, did you go for it?

  3. Oh my goodness, I do not know what I would do if I didn't have a wreath on my door year round. I just took down my USC (South Carolina) football one and put up my Halloween one! It might just be the crafty, home decor person in me, but I MUST have my house/front door decorated. Love some of the wreaths you have pictures of!
