Such a silly post since the old friend I'm bidding adieu to is my alarm clock. I've had my alarm clock since high school, which makes him (yes, my clock is a boy) more than 20 years old. He joined me at UofR and made no less than seven moves since then. I thought he'd live forever but I made the difficult decision today to replace him with a newer model of the Sony dream machine. While I hope the new guy lasts just as long, it doesn't seem like products are made as long to last as they used to be.
So long old friend.

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!! I had this same exact clock for 15 years!! It broke during my last move :(
ReplyDeleteI was so bummed and still have not found one that I love like I loved this one!
Great post!! HAHAHA!
I got that alarm clock when I started kindergarten 15 years ago! He is still alive and kicking!
ReplyDeleteA sad day, but I'm sure the Sony dream machine will be realllll nice! :)
ReplyDeleteBlair, I am so tempted to take the old clock to be fixed because the new one I got is AWFUL! I actually had to read the directions to figure out how to set the alarm.
ReplyDeleteI'm contemplating doing the same thing. Sometimes my lil guy doesn't remember to go off in the morning, so I sleep in. I have to shake him to make sure the light is on for "alarm". But still....I can't seem to let him go...
ReplyDeleteI use to have the same alarm clock back in the day! xx
ReplyDeleteI thoroughly enjoyed my stroll thru your blog. Fun place! I especially loved the pixs of you and Spencer riding. He looks so happy being able to ride around. It's a great idea and really looks like it's a blast for both of you.
