If I wanted to buy 100 rolls of toilet paper, a jumbo pack of washcloths or 1,000 bottles of water I would go to Costco. Where I happily pay a $50 membership fee, thank you very much. I shop at Target to escape this and buy things in real people quantities. Real people who have tiny houses, like moi.
And so much for the pretty floral section they used to have. What had been an aisle and a half has been reduced to 1/4 of an aisle.
A few shoppers were browsing but I didn't see anyone load a case of lightbulbs into their cart. Am I the only one who doesn't like this?

My neighbor told me about this. She said she asked an employee who told her all of the stores are trying this out. So who knows, it may or may not last!
ReplyDeleteRumor has it though that some of the target bargain sections are carrying designer items so it might be worth it.
ReplyDeleteI keep reading about this - I hope this is just the transitional phase and they get things looking better!
ReplyDeletehow weird... I don't like it at all!
ReplyDeleteThis preppy girl does NOT like the direction Target is "seemingly" headed! Down south, if you want that, you go to Sam's. BTW, Sam's is cousin to Wal Mart, which I don't like either. I'd rather eat dirt. :-) XOXO
ReplyDeleteSo strange. I have not seen that in my Target and I'm glad.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I have not seen this in my Target. It looks like Sam's...haha!
ReplyDeleteWhat is this? BTW, love the new blog header!
ReplyDeleteI agree, I like Target because it doesn't have that bargain warehouse feel. I'm not shopping for a family of 10, I just want to buy some single-size items! Hopefully it's just an experiment.
ReplyDeleteI saw this in our Target last week and turned the other way. Blech. I hope it's short lived!
ReplyDeleteComing over from SITS with a big HELLO & Welcome!
Hey - I just saw this article about this very topic!

Eeeewwww...I hope that doesn't happen to our Target. What a shame :(
ReplyDeleteThank you for the article, Mel! I also received a flyer in the mail Friday touting this great new thing Target is trying. I am looking forward to the day that the seasonal section becomes more seasonal. :-)
