Whitney's Wednesday Wares

Quick post today because I'm heading out the door to meet my husband and stepdaughter to go ice skating. Wish me luck- I hate ice skating!  I'll post more about how I did and the other fun stuff we've been doing this weekend.

My stepdaughter is visiting from Canada, Fredericton, New Brunswick to be exact, and she was dying to go to our mall since theirs is pretty small.  She loves Urban Outfitters so that was our first stop.  I haven't been to this store since I was in college and now I see why.  It was super clear to me that I am about as far from trendy as you can get. ;-)  But I was able to find this diamond in the rough.  It's a really pretty shade of gray and the wool is very soft.  My mother laughs that I buy anything that has a bow and I am pleased to report I did not disappoint her this afternoon.

Now that it's getting colder in Virginia I've had to break out the Preppy Puppy's jackets and sweaters.  Yes I am the crazy lady who dresses up her dog.  Please, did you expect anything less.  Spencer has several coats but he's been wearing this one by Lands' End the last few days since it's been cold and rainy.  It's waterproof and has a warm fleece lining.  Spencer's is an older version that even has a light that blinks so that we're visible at night.  Another great thing about this coat is that they have a wide range of sizes and their XL will fit large dogs such as a golden retriever.
