Sweet sugar

Thank you Suburban Princess for passing on the Sugar Doll blogger award. It's my first award and I'm delighted to receive it. Suburban Princess has a fantastic blog and you must pay it a visit if you haven't already.

The easy, peezy directions say to post the award on your site, write 10 interesting things about yourself, and then pass it on to 10 other bloggers.

1.  My dream job is to open a fancy pet boutique.
2.  I work for the American Red Cross and spent three weeks in Alabama and Mississippi in September 2005 helping with the Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma response.
3.  I have a teeny tiny family. Daddy was an only child and Mother has only one brother.  I am the only person I know who has only two cousins.
4.  I was a Classics major in college and my senior thesis topic was "Slavery in Ancient Greece". 
5.  I spent many summers as a lifeguard at the beach where our summer home is.
6.  Speaking of water, I didn't learn to dive until I was 12.
7.  I love taking pictures of the cherry blossoms in the spring.
8.  Last spring, Angelina Jolie was filming the movie "Salt" at my office.  I took pictures of her on the set and had one published by the Washington Post.

9.  My family has a Thoroughbred farm and growing up, my sister and I spent many weekends at the track.  You don't see many little ones there.

10. On the last day of school in second grade my hand was caught in a door and my part of my right pinkie finger was severed.  One of Hop's good friends is a terrific hand surgeon he was able to fix it and it looks good as new.  Though my friend Darwin called me the Bionic Woman because he didn't believe it was my real finger.
